Amy is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, workshop designer/facilitator, and youth anti-bullying and empowerment mentor. She’s the Founder and President of Act Like You Matter and Executive Director and Author of Theatre of Peace: Youth Bullying Awareness Acting Troupe. Amy authors content that teaches children and teens how to overcome and combat bullying and equips their parents and teachers to help them. She produces custom-designed, solution-driven workshops, confidence-building books, and impactful scripts full of tools that can help children and teens overcome and combat bullying.

Amy is a highly analytical person who delights in solving the puzzles life throws her way and then sharing what she learned with others. Her passion for empowering children and teens to believe in themselves and impact their world in a positive way was ignited in 2010 when, upon discovering that her 7-year-old daughter, Chase, was being bullied at school, she worked with Chase to develop resilience and strengthen her confidence, so that she not only overcame being bullied, but she rose above it and soared. In 2015, Amy created Act Like You Matter to inspire children and teens to be their best selves, find their voice, and change the way their generation treats each other.

Amy holds an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a BS in Business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter. She lives in San Diego, CA, with her husband, Tom, and two young adult daughters, Jordan and Chase.
