For over 20 years, Jacquie Whitt has been involved in adventure travel and other outdoor activities. Her background includes bicycle racing, organizing and leading bicycle tours & hikes in the United States and abroad, and management positions with Outward Bound and American Youth Hostels.

In 2007, while leading a student group on a service trip to Peru, Jacquie met local guide & businessman, Vidal Jaquehua. Jacquie & Vidal co-founded Adios Adventure Travel in 2009 and opened licensed offices in Virginia Beach and Cusco, Peru. Meanwhile they expanded operations to Ecuador & Galapagos Islands and in 2010 to China. They have arranged guided tours for over 5000 people to Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, the Galapagos Islands, and other destinations.

Adios Adventure Travel offers a variety of trips for all ages and skill levels, including hiking, mountain biking, rafting and mountaineering, and even traditional sightseeing. Sustainable and ethical tourism is embedded into the corporate philosophy with profits invested in local economies. Jacquie promotes fair employment practices as well as sustainable local economic improvement projects in rural communities, including buildings, community gardens & educational facilities.
