Ms. Lawrence was born in Chicago and raised primarily on the South Side of the city, by her grandmother. At the age of eight she practiced daily with a professional acting coach, and as a result appeared in several dramatic hit plays and later found her way into professional stand-up comedy. Discovered by shows like BET COMIC VIEW, as well as colleges, Ms. Lawrence earned credits on television as a female comedienne within her 1st year.

Ms. Lawrence attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Mass Communication. Nowadays, she is attending Kent State University devoted to earning her Master’s. As an entrepreneur and single parent for more than two decades, her life story is not void of adversities, “Adversities are something life just throws at you and being resilient is the cure.”
