 Aldis Browne of ArtConsultant.com is a curator and art adviser based in California. His clients, both private and museums, encircle the globe - from the Australian National Gallery to the Metropolitan Museum. Museum exhibits include: Munch, Klee & Dali. 
Aldis Browne founded Aldis Browne Fine Art, Inc. in New York in 1972 and in California in 1986. He has organized exhibitions shown at numerous international museums, among them: The Art Institute of Chicago, Detroit Museum, The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the Vincent Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, The Sendai Prefectural Museum, in Japan, and several of our Embassies in conjunction with the U.S. Department of State.

He has consulted with Esmark, Inc. and Ashland Oil Co. in building their art collections. He has organized international museum exhibitions, among them Paul Klee, Salvador Dali (1982 retrospective), Dutch Art including Vincent Van Gogh, Mondrian and M C Escher, Edvard Munch, Currier and Ives and Cubism. His clients include The Museum of Modern Art and The Solomon Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Australian National Gallery, The deYoung Museum in San Francisco, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.

Aldis Browne's exhibitions have ranged from small shows of contemporary art in alternative spaces to major international exhibitions opened by Heads of State. While chairing the Arts Committee for the Venice Neighborhood Council Browne co-founded V-SCAPE (Venice - Santa Monica Community Arts & Performance Exhibitions) which he continues to administer. He co-chaired the first Arts Committee for San Diego's University Club and has organized "9 Phenomenal Artists" for the club in support of the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego. He co-curated Letters From LA with Jack Rutberg for Art La at the Los Angeles Convention Center in 2013. He assisted in organizing the comprehensive 2013 retrospective of Huguette Caland in Beirut Lebanon, and TasteForArt.com in Venice Ca in 2014

Browne is dedicated to working both with institutions and private exhibition facilities to organize, catalogue and tour significant collections.

Aldis Browne attended Milton Academy, Yale University, and the University of Chicago School of Business. He began his career as an art dealer with the Peter Deitsch Gallery in 1964, spent seven years as the gallery director and vice-president of Associated American Artists in New York. He founded Aldis Browne Fine Arts in New York in 1972 and has been a member of the Art Dealers Association of America since 1977. He has been admitted by the Courts as an expert witness in art cases in New York and Hawaii, and has advised the Resolution Trust Corporation as well as assisting the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the District Attorney of New York and the Los Angeles Police Department on authenticity and art fraud.

He has long been involved in community affairs. As a member of the arts committee of the San Diego University Club he organized quarterly exhibitions for the club, and his V-SCAPE project in Venice continues to mount 4 exhibits per year. He chaired the first standing arts committee of the Venice Neighborhood Council in 2008/9. He co-founded and acted as executive Director of the Venice Community Trust from 2005 through 2007 and served on the board of the Venice Chamber of Commerce from 2005 to 2009. He organized the highly successful Artists For Haiti benefit auction for Artists for Peace and Justice in 2010. Before moving from New York to California in 1986 he co-founded the West Hudson Environmental Association in 1974, served as a cultural affairs adviser to the NYC Parks Department and as a board member of National Aid to the Visually Handicapped and the Edward Hopper Foundation.
