Wilkes' team members and partners count on him for constant dedication, knowledge, responsibility, and enthusiasm. Even as a young professional, he has excelled at establishing credibility with clients and co-workers by providing innovative solutions to difficult situations. Wilkes graduated from The Citadel in 2006 with a B.S. in Business Administration. While in school he received Gold Stars, Dean's List awards, and lettered in Rugby. He also raised over $100,000 during his tenure at The Citadel Foundation.

In 2010, Doug Wilkes was named the Landstar Safety Officer of the Year for the South East (Region 8) and established himself as a multi-million dollar producer for Landstar. Wilkes now manages a sales force and dispatch office which focuses on sales and marketing, truckload, LTL, expedited, international, airfreight, and rail services.
