Klaus P. Gapp, CEO of Yalwa, previously founded and operated OpusForum.org, a local classifieds site for the German speaking market. OpusForum.org was bought by Ebay in 2005 and merged with its classifieds site Kijiji one year later.

Klaus P. Gapp founded Yalwa in 2006. His vision was to create a sustainable company with a start-up atmosphere. Since then Yalwa has launched three web applications in more than 65 countries across the world, covering 6 different languages.

Gapp's company operates three portals with focus on classified ads: Locanto, a popular classifieds platform; Yalwa, a local business directory and askalo, a search engine for classifieds. Yalwa offers its services in over 65 countries across the world, covering 6 different languages.

Currently, the Yalwa websites generate altogether more than 10 billion page views every year.
