Richard Guillopo founded the Bergen Music School in 2010 with a thought in mind of transforming communities through the arts. With a career that has covered executive level positions in both the corporate world (IBM, New York Life & Northwestern Mutual) and the non-profit world (Southern Baptist Convention & North American Mission Board), Guillopo combines his keen understanding of business and his compassionate knowledge of non-profits together to serve families and communities by providing the timeless gift of music.

A native New Yorker, Guillopo holds a doctorate in music from Canterbury Christ Church University as well as bachelor's degree in english, history and music from Stony Brook University and lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife and 2 sons.
