Initially trained as an electrical and electronic engineer he gained experience with Philips Analytical designing and developing optical and scientific instruments.
He moved into senior sales and marketing roles with a number of emerging companies and university spin outs helping to grow and divest the compaines into larger corporations.
A seven year spell with Millipore's Bioscience division in the 1990's he ran the analytical life sciences group in Paris before leaving to develop new high throughput proteomics imaging systems.
In 1999 he founded Digital Healthcare, a Cambridge based software company that developed new technologies for telemedicine and large scale population screening. In 2010 he and Dick Barker co-invested in BioPoint Limited and he maintained consulting and short term strategic engagements.
In May 2011 he was appointed Sales and Marketing Director for BioPoint with the brief to expand and develop the market for specialist life science products.
