Michael Potter Bradt
Owner
“ A scientist turned teacher turned lawyer turned comedian with a passion for connecting with people. ”
Michael's interests have led him to pursue biochemistry, as he earned a B.S. in 2000, law, as he earned a J.D. in 2005, and comedy, which he has pursued throughout his entire life. He opened The Bit Theater with his wife, Kelsey, in 2021, at the tail end of a pandemic. It was a risky proposition, but the couple wanted to bring all of the gifts of the craft of improv to the western suburbs of Chicago. Both former teachers themselves, Michael and Kelsey have a practical, professional method of teaching improv while still bringing all of the fun lessons of improv.
Michael prides himself on making improv accessible, and he encourages his students to be brave and experiment with the art. Not only does he teach classes, but also teambuilding and corporate workshops, including continuing legal education workshops for lawyers.
Michael has been in business for himself since 2010, when he established The Law Office of Michael P. Bradt. He brings his business acumen into everything he does, and he loves helping people on their unique journeys.
