Priska Diaz, Founder and CEO of Bittylab®, and inventor of the Bare® Air-free technology. She moved to the United States from her native Peru at the age of 17. As an immigrant woman, she was determined to shatter the glass ceiling and take more than what life had for her. She worked two, sometimes three jobs to make a living while learning English, going thru college, and graduating with a Master's degree. As difficult as this was, nothing compared to the hardship she endured when her first son developed gastroesophageal reflux (GER) symptoms after supplementing breastfeeding. "Seeing my baby cry for days added feelings of maternal failure to the ongoing sleep-deprivation, headaches, pain from c-section, and exhaustion," Diaz recalls. Months of research showed that air in the baby bottles caused her baby's problem, so she designed a solution that eliminated air and air-ingestion.

Priska's extensive experience in design, engineering, manufacturing, polymer materials, and QC allowed her to create a product to help her very gassy and fussy baby. The patented technology feeds babies milk without air while in an upright position & lets babies control the milk's flow and pace of feeding. She created an ecosystem of customer-base R&D and leveraged cost-effective awareness campaigns for the consumer market. This strategy led to a groundbreaking clinical discovery: Bare® Air-free significantly reduced GER and GERD symptoms in 75% of babies in the first two weeks. Ms. Diaz has been published in major news outlets such as Thrive Global, Viral video by CNBC reaching 29+M views, featured a woman-leader in STEM, and has won the international Edison Awards: GOLD for design and innovation. A pre-sale raised $50,000 in the first 48 hours, and the story went viral by syndicated Entrepreneur Magazine, reposted by Fortune Magazine, CNN Money, CBS, Huffington Post, among others.

Priska's early educational focus in the arts led to a successful career as a professional designer. Priska financed her college education by designing for small design studios and print shops. In 2000, she obtained her B.A. in Design with honors from the City University of New York. Before she officially graduated, Priska accepted a Creative Director position at CUNY and ran the school's design department for the next five years. In 2003, Priska received her Master of Science in Communications and Packaging Design from Pratt Institute. Since then, Priska has worked for the health and beauty industries as Art Director in charge of the entire brands. During her career, Priska has been recognized for her commissioned work by local, national, and international industry entities and publishers.

In 2010 and after two years of hands-on experience as a new mother, Priska recognized it was time to turn her attention to the baby industry and apply her design skills to create innovative products with real benefits for mothers and babies. Tickled by the challenge, Priska registered BITTYLAB, LLC, in the state of New York in June of 2010 and just three years later officially launched her Bare® air-free feeding system line!

Bittylab, LLC, is a WBE & WOSB-Certified, NY-based MedTech start-up that designs and develops feeding products for infants with GER*, GERD*, and feeding complications such as gas, colic, and recurrent spit-ups. (*gastroesophageal reflux disease.)
