In the mid 70’s when architectural firms were becoming “multi-disciplined”, a large firm in Ohio hired Randy fresh out of Columbus College of Art and Design. His role was to become a project manager for the small graphics group that developed image packages, signage and marketing aids for a wide range of business parks, retail and Healthcare facilities. From the beginning Mr. Cooper found a need for collaborative efforts to make projects successful, this often meant interfacing with architects, engineers, landscaping, planning and business resources.
In 1979, Randy accepting a position as Vice President with a large Missouri sign company to design and develop new “architectural” products for them. This experience resulted in national and regional retail accounts, hospitality as well as Healthcare groups.
Based on his experience Mr. Cooper accepted an opportunity with the world’s largest franchisee network of architectural signage. An initial role in national franchisee training and later became co-ownership of a franchise.
In 1986 Cooper sold his interest in that business and relocated to Atlanta to open a graphic design studio and to broker signage focusing on healthcare. Over the years CS&G as it came to be known has evolved into a nationally recognized leader in design and fabrication of Wayfinding and signage.
