Philip Smith is the Founder and Executive Director of the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Public Policy Analysis (CPPA), a non-governmental. and non-profit research, organization (NGO) and think tank.

Smith is an expert in public policy, international affairs and national security issues, especially as they relate to Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

He closely monitors events in the U.S. Congress and Washington, D.C. as they relate to issues that include defense, foreign policy, trade, human rights, international religious freedom, press and internet freedom, refugees and veterans.
