Michelle, a Leadership Institute Global Leadership award winner, assisted 250+ faith and community leaders to start non-profits. She has both a BS and MBA in business and is a graduate of the Leadership Institute's International School of Fundraising.
Michelle Uchiyama, President and Founder of Charitable Connections, Inc., has been developing leaders and empowering neighborhoods and communities for 20 years. Her vision, courage and compassion have given Charitable Connections, Inc. leadership tenets into the future and communication tools to impart wisdom to leaders to effect future generations. For eight (8) years Michelle served as a task force chair and member of the Presbyterian Committee on the Self Development of People funding grassroots groups to take on projects that would empower them to have a voice and change their condition.

Starting over 250 organizations in the United States, Michelle empowered hundreds of people to take on their passion and solve social problems using creativity with resources. Michelle has used her Bachelors Degree in marketing and communications from the Rochester Institute of Technology, her Master’s Degree from the University of Houston in corporate strategies and planning and her doctoral work at Oxford Graduate School to train leaders to remove the barriers that limit people and organizations from achieving their God given destiny.

In her role as a Master builder, Michelle has taught leaders in many walks of life how to leverage resources and create meaningful connections. She has built social enterprises and used market based solutions to impact social problems and taught leaders the same. Michelle has a genuine concern that people all around the globe have continued to devalue human capital. She believes that we as leaders can empower others to understand how to use their human skills, talents and knowledge to create a better quality of life for themselves, their organizations and their families and she is using a methodology she created called The Campaign2Grow to begin teaching how to re-ignite the fire for living in a world challenged with many problems.

Michelle has recently been presented a Global Leadership award by the Leadership Institute; Bow Group, UK; and the World Congress of Families. She has also been recognized internationally as an Ambassador for Peace by the American Clergy Leadership Conference.
