As principal with ci design, Chris Bauer serves as Senior Project Planner and Designer since the firm’s founding. He fills multiple roles at ci design, from conceptualizing and master-planning retail, entertainment, mixed-use, residential and hospitality projects to business development and client management operations.

Mr. Bauer's varied project experience ranges domestic and international clientele, including such noteworthy projects as the $200 million redevelopment of North Hills in Raleigh, North Carolina, The Walk in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Power Plant Live in Baltimore, Maryland, Towson Town Center in Towson, Maryland and Ibn Battuta in Dubai, UAE.

Currently, he is leading the redesign and renovation of City Place Mall (now Ellsworth Place) in Washington, DC, and Metropica, the highly-profiled 4 million sf mixed-use development in Sunrise, Florida..

Mr. Bauer previously served as Senior Design Manager/National Business Manager for the Retail/Mixed-Use/Hospitality Market Sector at Carter & Burgess Inc. and as Associate for Development Design Group, where he served as designer/project architect.

He is active member of the American Institute of Architects, American Planning Association and International Council of Shopping Centers.
