Amanda Risi
Amanda Risi began writing at a very young age, and won prizes for literary feats during her school years. One of her earliest works was a play addressing the social effects of addiction that through its novel approach transformed the nature of education on the subject in KZN in the late 1980s.

As part of her commitment to improving communications on a global scale, Risi worked within the cable and satellite industry in London on an annual exhibition and conference that crossed international boundaries and fostered collaboration between companies large and small.

In the 1990s, Risi settled into university life in a small town in the Western Cape of South Africa, Grahamstown. Focusing on teaching teachers how to teach mathematics using computers in education, under the governance of RUMEP, she set up a mini network of nine computers where farm school teachers could learn how to use computers and how to teach using new tools.

Becoming a mother in the late 1990s, Risi devoted herself to private study, covering subjects ranging from mathematics through to philosophy, psychology, criminology, art, literature, technology and the craft of writing.

From the early 2000s, Risi has focused on business writing. She brings vitality and a lively passion to her daily writing work for clients as well as a growing knowledge of style, grammar, vocabulary and context that provides appropriate communications for companies excelling in a fast-changing world.

Amanda Risi focuses on results and producing words you can count on.
