She is a mother and Applied Microbiology & Biotechnologgy Graduate. ”
Lara's working life began in London's west end where she worked for an Oil and Gas Headhunting company as an administrator and data manager and part time for a telephone market research company.
She went on from there to work at a reputable 5 star hotelier chain in the city subsequently moving to working at an executive courier firm in London city as a super controller and telephone centre manager.
She went on to take up a volunteer mentor role at a Pan London project in conjunction with the probation service and took up various temporary positions including working as an electoral canvass officer and technical manager for a startup.
Following completion of her degree she progressed to working within the voluntary sector as an office administrative manager and then went on to work as an administrative support officer in the public service sector.
She then took up employment with a city magnate as a project management data controller departing her job to set up her first micro enterprise in 2006.
She has since then gone from strength to strength bringing her science oriented educational background and professional experience as a typist, administrator, secretary and creative person to bear on her endeavours.
Lara currently runs 4 micro enterprises, DuchessPR , Naijamaican both event and creativity led and LightBySolar UK as well as AfroAsia Week which is a social enterprise.
A hardworking, astute and dependable individual, she has been recognised at community awards where in 2014 she recieved a recognition GAB excellence award for her contributions to a positive image of Africa and Africans through enterpreneuship.
