Alistair Davidson is a Silicon Valley guru. He has extensive entrepreneurial, software development and marketing experience including developing three first of breed software products and over a dozen other projects. He was the co-author of the first ever managerial expert system for assessing business strategies, developed an information warehouse tool that was rated as one of the top 10 object oriented applications in the 1990s, and developed a major network simulation for wargaming the evolution of telecom markets.

His career has included finance with a Citibank affiliate and publishing firm Harlequin, which leads him to joke that he moved from the romance of high finance to the finance of high romance. He has worked as the head of incubator, and a venture capitalist, in addition to raising debt for Harlequin, angel investment and venture capital. He is trained strategic facilitator who work with startups, small and large financial institutions and tech firms. He has also trained other strategic facilitators.

He is lead or sole author on four books about strategy and technology:

Seizing the Future, which is about industrial policy, institutional strategy and technology's effect upon Canada. (1983)

Riding the Tiger, which is about best practices in information management and project management. (1997)

Turn Around! which is about software development (2001)

Innovation Zeitgeist: Digital Business Transformation in a World of Too Many Competitors. (2013)

He has an undergraduate and business degree from Harvard. He has developed and taught business strategy and international strategy In MBA programs in three countries. He has delivered executive training on innovation and best practices in information management.

He has extensive public speaking, TV and radio experience.
