Neerja was born and raised in colorful, culturally rich and diverse New Delhi, India, and came to America for graduate school. After receiving an MBA and a Master’s in information systems, she pursued a fulfilling career in Business Analysis & Development at Fortune 100 companies like Anheuser-Busch, Marriott and a major international association for several years.

Her work experience included Global Account Management, where she consulted with top retailers, which meant extensive international travel. Exploring various countries, including India, she developed a keen eye for eclectic design and a deeper appreciation for local art and heritage. She often brought back indigenous works-of-art for family and friends, and it brought her great joy to see someone love and enjoy her unique finds that they could not find easily in the states.

All along she dreamed of doing something entrepreneurial with her corporate marketing expertise and fondness for all things ethnic & beautiful. In the fall of 2012, she launched her own business doing what she loves – to curate and showcase works of wearable art.

She travels often to India looking for new design inspiration and discovering unique finds. She also regularly meets artisans to meld her designs with their expertise to produce one-of-a-kind women’s accessories that she is very pleased to offer at www.elanindique.com.

She plans to keep her eyes and ears open to discover new sources of fine native accessories in other parts of the world as her boutique grows.
