 Ms. Ruth Tick, Director and Founder of the Florida Association of Legal Document Preparers leads the way in serving Florida's pro se consumers. She passionately promotes professional excellence and brings increased credibility to the industry. 
Ms. Ruth Tick, Director of the Florida Association of Legal Document Preparers – FALDP - is the driving force behind Florida's pro se rights movement. In May of 2010 she founded FALDP, and hasn't looked back. Two years later, FALDP is the “go to” site for information about Florida legal document preparation, pro se rights, and consumer legal issues that affect all Floridians.

FALDP is now a thriving online community of professional legal document preparers dedicated to assisting Florida's pro se litigants have their day in court. FALDP functions as a trade association and includes members with a range of skills – from retired attorneys, to family law mediators, to notaries. The common bond among the members is their dedication to their common goal – assisting pro se litigants.

Ms. Tick has created this unique environment, and continues to foster professional excellence in the legal document preparation industry. She earned a BA in Legal Studies, and an MS in Criminal Justice, both at the University of Central Florida. In graduate school, Ms. Tick discovered the power of the written word. As a free lance writer she wrote about travel, real estate, and legal issues. Most of the writing on the FALDP site is Tick's although she welcomes others to submit articles.
