John Storment

 Dr. John Storment is a leading reproductive endocrinologist in the state of Louisiana. 
After graduating medical school from Louisiana State University in 1992, Dr. Storment completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology from UT Health Science Center in Houston, TX, and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, VT. Dr. Storment is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. Storment subsequently established his medical practice in Lafayette, LA, in 2002 after three years with Fertility Institute of New Orleans. He is affiliated with Women's & Children's Hospital where his Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) Center is currently located. The ART Center houses state-of-the-art medical equipment for the advanced infertility treatments of in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), blastocyst culture, assisted hatching and embryo cryopreservation. Dr. Storment is also affiliated with Lafayette Surgicare Surgical Center, located on the Women's & Children's Hospital campus, where he performs almost all his surgical procedures.

Over the years, Dr. Storment has expanded his practice and reach to include all of Southwest and Central Louisiana, including the metroplex of Baton Rouge. The FertilityAnswers System includes four clinical offices and two state-of-the-art IVF laboratories serving a geographic area of more than 35,000 square miles, larger than the state of Maine. Now from the bayous of Acadiana to the metroplex of Baton Rouge to the banks of the Red River in Central Louisiana, advanced fertility care is well within reach for everyone.

Dr. Storment is a Clinical Associate Professor with Louisiana State University School of Medicine and has been on faculty since 1999. He has published numerous articles on infertility, ultrasonography, and the physiology of hormone replacement during menopause. His current research projects involves evaluation and treatment of endometriosis and infertility. Dr. Storment remains active in resident education in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and recently receiving "best teacher award" from the resident physicians. He volunteers at Lafayette Community Health Clinic each month providing gynecologic care for the "working uninsured". Dr. Storment also speaks Spanish.

Dr. Storment is a member of ACOG (American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) , ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine), SRS (Society of Reproductive Surgeons), Louisiana State Medical Society, Lafayette Parish Medical Society, AAGL (American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists).
