Mike Broder has more than 20 years of experience in the comic book business. He started working in comic shops at the age of 13, opened his own store at age 18. As the industry was about to hit a decline in the mid 1990s, Broder closed his store and entered the film industry, working for independent film company, Winstar. In 2006, Broder started Florida Supercon, and has grown the show by 4000% in 4 years. In 2010, he opened a new comic book shop, Florida Super Comics, Games, Anime + More, in Davie, FL to complement the comic book convention business in Miami. This is the single fastest-growing comic shop in South Florida, and Broder credits is rapid ascent to the frequent events held at the store to introduce fans to comic book creators and pop culture celebrities.
