John Choe has two decades of leadership experience in public service.​ ​As Founding Director of One Flushing​, ​John work​ed​ to build a strong, ​diverse, and sustainable community through grassroots organizing, ​policy research, and cross-cultural collaborations. ​Now, as Executive Director of the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce, John is helping launch a modern multi-ethnic platform to support and bring together our business community.​ John previously​ ​served with the New York City Comptroller, the City Council, the Department of Finance, the Rent Guidelines Board, and the Corporation for Supportive Housing​​.

John also volunteers with the Flushing ​Interfaith Council, the Religious Society of Friends, the NAACP Northeast Queens Chapter, and Flushing​ ​CSA. John earned his​ ​Bachelor of Arts in History from Binghamton University and his Masters in Public Policy from the University of​ ​Chicago. John's ​public service has been recognized by New York Newsday,​ ​​the Queens Courier,​ ​​Concerned African-Americans of ​ ​Flushing, ​the Queens Historical Society, the Jewish​ ​Community Relations Council,​ the Open Society Institute, ​​the Organization of Chinese Americans, the Revson Foundation, and​ ​the Network of Korean American Leaders.
