Brian Richmond founded 4Minds Internet Group in 1999 with a small group of web enthusiasts with the intent to provide web design services to small businesses in his local area of Bourbonnais, IL, eventually expanding into areas well beyond. Between 1999 and 2003, fellow members of the 4Minds team fell off the project, leaving Brian to continue running the business on his own. During the next few years, he would complete some small and medium sized projects from simple Javascript form calculations to a full-scale content management applications for an area high school. His experience with these projects has led to a much stronger understanding of automated and dynamically driven content sites.

In 2010, Brian founded GeoClique with partner Chris Hallgren of Hallgren Networks. The GeoClique site was built over a long holiday break, thoroughly tested for several weeks following, and finally released to the public in April of 2011. Followers of the beta build program lined up to be some of the first users of the new site, most of whom remain active on a very regular basis.

Brian develops and supports the GeoClique website, both full and mobile versions, and has developed the GeoClique for iOS application from the ground up, releasing it to the Apple App Store in early 2012, just prior to the 1-year anniversary of the website launch. He continues to have big aspirations for the social networking service and hopes that one day it will be as successful as some of its major competitors.
