Holly is a seasoned educational leader with over 15 years' experience as a high school principal, counselor, and teacher. She taught literature and composition at the college level for five years and is an award-winning locally published author. Holly holds Masters Degrees in Marketing and Educational Leadership. She is a NYS certified School Administrator/Supervisor and holds Secondary Teaching Certificates in 7-12 English and Social Studies.

Holly began counseling international students through the college selective admissions process on a part-time basis in 2009. Later, while working as the director of a local exam prep provider, Holly met many high school juniors dreamed of attending highly-selective colleges; however, they did not have the appropriate resume or academic record to be successful applicants. She met other students who wanted to study pre-medicine, but who had not taken the appropriate coursework to be prepared for this major. She met seniors who attended college application essay writing workshops at local high schools and produced core essays that were well-written and yet all wrong in terms of what college admissions officers want to know about them.

In short, Holly met students (and their parents) late in their high school years who were desperate for guidance, advice and direction. She recognized that much of the stress associated with college admissions could be avoided altogether with early college planning. She determined to reach out to students in middle school in order to help them shape them into the kind of students who could get accepted to any college. After two years of training, reading, research and college visits, Holly launched Selective College Acceptance Counseling in 2013.
