Matthew is a Registered Dietitian, practicing with a license in the State of Ohio. Following completion of his undergraduate studies in nutrition and dietetics at Youngstown State University, he went on to receive a Master's of Science of the same concentration at the University of Akron. From there, Matthew completed the esteemed internship at the former Family Health Council of Pittsburgh, now known as Adagio Health. He has been practicing dietetics in the Northeast Ohio area since 2004.

Now residing in his hometown of Youngstown, Ohio, Matthew founded Good Health Industries LLC, an exclusive weight management and obesity reversal professional service, offering unique programs and memberships for clients who have reached the coveted "crisis point" in their lives. Having logged a lifetime of unsuccessful attempts to lose weight, his clients find refuge in his professional knowledge, personal experience, and unbridled compassion for those with the desire of living a healthy life in a body that is comfortable to live it in.

While paying his dues regarding education and professional experience, Matthew attributes the unrivaled success of his clients with his personal familiarity with obesity. From the ages of 18 to 22, Matthew found his weight spiraling out of control, reaching heights of over 330 pounds. Armed with his education, paired with the mindset achieved through the practice of the theses of this book, he was able to regain his self-confidence and achieve a conviction that allowed him to believe in his ability to take charge of his life, losing well over 100 lbs. He has been able to maintain that weight loss for the past decade.
