Hemal Patel is the Founder and Creative Director of HeadSprung. Having studied manufacturing engineering at Loughborough Univeristy for his undergraduate studies and then design, manufacture and management at Cambridge University for his postgraduate studies he entered the manufacturing sector as a production engineer at 3M. His roles included quality and productivity control and improvement as well as logistics and planning. He immensely enjoyed his time at the company but yearned for more creative endeavours. So, he left 3M and launched HeadSprung. With a mission "to make good design more visible and accessible to the masses" Hemal wanted to create a company that would make desirable, functional home products that would put a smile on the user's face and make life easier. Hemal continues to grow the business, expanding the range from homewares to lighting to furniture.
