Mary Sukumar has completed a Fellowship in Healthcare Simulation from Penn State and holds a CMQ certification from the American College of Medical Quality. In addition, she has the CPHQ certification from the National Association for Healthcare Quality, a Simulation Instructor certification from Penn Medicine, and a Certificate in Health Professions Education from the University of Connecticut.

She is an instructor for PROMPT, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and a certified John Maxwell Team member.

Mary Sukumar has 15+ years of experience as an anesthesiologist, simulation instructor and learning specialist for health professionals.

She is an advocate of AI and VR as tools for improving patient experience and outcomes.

She is passionate about advancing health professions education using simulation, promoting quality and patient safety, and advocating for sustainability issues in healthcare.
