He won a three-part State Contract to provide microcomputers to; all State Agencies, K-12 schools and state-supported Higher Education institutions (17 campuses). Contract valued at $4.7m. Executed strategy to extend the contract to all 100 counties ‘public sector’ accounts in the state (Counties, Cities & Towns). Results was an increase in total revenue to >$11m in a 16 month time frame from contract award. This strategy became the model for other reseller-won state contracts throughout the US.
Howard was assigned responsibility to manage a $2.1m branch sales organization. Won a highly contested $12m+ contract with a global communications company to deliver microcomputers to client offices throughout the U.S. Increased sales of the branch office to >$20m in two years. Branch was ranked #1 nationally among 24 branch offices in percentage of sales growth, gross margin percentage and #2 in pretax profits.
He became Director of Sales of a regional network integration firm that included 18 sales persons in three branch offices and the corporate headquarters office. Grew sales organization to 25 sales persons over a two-year period with top line sales revenue growth from $14m to more than $21m. Company was ranked 343 on the VAR 500 List of largest reseller organizations in the US.
