Leah Wong serves as the Highland Brewing market representative for most of NC and parts of SC and VA. Leah's immediate plans include expanding the company's print, online and social media presence while developing her market. Brand development in her market is achieved by hosting events where the story of the craft brewing industry in the US and in NC is shared along with Highland's story, and by developing relationships with customers and distributors. She is also involved in the larger scale and longer term decisions of the company that affect all markets and brewery operations. Involvement in these meetings will increase with time. Future plans will include Leah in more prominent role at the brewery. Her father, brewery founder Oscar Wong, will remain very active.

With 16 years experience in printing, specializing in design and journalism, she brings communication skills and an independent spirit to the brewery. As an independent contractor for 13 years, her territory tripled in size and quadrupled in volume, placing her in the top 20% of her company for the last five years in that career. Having met her personal goals in that job, she welcomed new challenges at Highland.

Leah has a Journalism degree from UNC Chapel Hill.
