Tie James-Waddy is the founder
of Tie’s Therapeutic Touch. She received her Massage Therapy training in 2006 from Houston Community College and is licensed by the State of Texas Massage Therapy Board. Believing in the power of serving the whole individual, body, mind and spirit, James-Waddy furthered her studies and later received an Associate of Art in Theology as well as a Christian Counseling certification from Bible Technology Training Institute. She understands that emotional distress hinders our body’s ability to restore itself. Therefore, she combines a practical approach with spiritual wisdom and knowledge to create total healing.
James-Waddy aims to make her clients feel at ease while introducing them to the cutting edge treatments. Her treatments are individually customized, effective, and restorative. Guests will leave feel- ing much better than when they arrived. James-Waddy uses a combination of

techniques such as Swedish, Facial and Foot Massage, as well as Hot Stone – to name a few. Her signature modality is the Facelift Facial Massage.
James-Waddy is passionate about the positive effects of therapeutic healing on the body and mind. She enjoys helping her clients improve their overall health through the benefits of massage therapy. She can customize an all-natural, herbal, invigorating therapeutic massage for the fatigued and stressed. Also, she can work with those on injury rehabilitation, assist in the relief of migraines and tension- related headaches or simply help them forget about life stressors through her re- laxing touch.
Equally important to James-Waddy is community outreach and social respon- sibility. She recognizes her own sense of compassion and her potential to inspire others. She is a teacher, counselor, and massage therapist working tirelessly to share her drive and gift with others. Noth- ing exhibits her passion of this more than
being the recipient of the 2011 Com- munity Service Grant from the Massage Therapy Foundation (MTF) to support her philanthropic work with low-income wom- en in Houston. The experience has been a rewarding one for the therapist and the clients.
Other certifications held by James-Waddy are Childbirth Educator, which she ob- tained through Lamaze International. She also studied with DONA International, the premier doula association in the world.
