Sharon's professional background is quite diverse. After her graduation from Memorial High School in San Antonio, she subsequently went on to obtain a BA in Chemistry from the University of Texas in San Antonio which led her to work as an analytical chemist, 8th grade Science teacher and Pharmacy Technician Program Instructor at NIT vocational college.

Sharon's entrepreneurial spirit has also enhanced her professional development. She previously co-owned SWC Voodoo Lounge and is currently the owner of Business Basics, a literary & artistic promotions company.

Sharon's artistic endeavors are also quite interesting. She recently co-authored & coordinated the publication of "On Mended Wings," a poetry anthology benefiting NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). She is also a member of several poetry groups including SAPA (San Antonio Poets' Association, a chapter of the Poetry Society of Texas), ASP (Awakening the Sleeping Poet), Voices de la Luna (UTSA Literary group) and the Jazz Poets of SA.

As a concerned community leader, Sharon has been involved with community service organizations such as SALEG (San Antonio Ladies Empowering Group) and other nonprofits focused on mental health such as NAMI in her area.

She is eager to continue developing her professional biography so that she may be a more valuable contributor to society.
