Over the last 12 months, Clif has been pursing bed bugs and has successfully treated some of the most severe infestations around the country. During his time killing these bugs the Inspector Hound concept was born.
In 2003, Clif Tomasini left a successful career with Mercedes Benz to join a small manufacturing company. Since joining Therma-Stor, a manufacturer of heat recovery tanks, dehumidifiers, air movers, vacuums, and other commercial grade equipment – the company has flourished with sales tripling during his tenure. Tomasini was instrumental in developing a global procurement department from the bottom up. His approach to business has proven to be one that lowers operating costs annually, while increasing flexibility and output.

Through his vision and persistence, Tomasini helped initiate, launch, and later manage a success offshore procurement team. Today this team consists of procurement experts, designers, engineers, and a quality control specialist from both sides of the globe. In 2008, Tomasini spent several months in Asia repositioning business to align with the ever changing customer and business needs.

Tomasini’s ability to identify talented employees, understand difficult technical specifications, develop systemic processes, build lasting relationships with suppliers, and negotiate favorable terms quickly proved to be his signature. Today Therma-Stor continues to succeed by utilizing many of the systems he helped create. Many of the people he hired have since moved into management roles.

In early 2010, Clif began chasing bed bugs for Quest, a brand of Therma-Stor. Having dealt with initiating new business ventures in the past, Clif was the ideal candidate for the job. Soon Clif was the expert when it came to the most difficult bed bug jobs using heat. After spending much time in and around New York City, Clif was asked to treat a 26 unit apartment complex with an infestation estimated at over 10K bugs. After 16 hours of heat and almost 1M BTUs of equipment, the unit was declared a success. To this day it remains bed bug free.

It was during one of these treatments that the Inspector Hound concept was born.

Tomasini holds an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison as well as a B.B.A from Northwood University. Though born in Texas, he has family across Louisiana. As a child he always dreamed of living here and is proud to call it home again.
