 DOUGLAS STUART, PhD, is Director of Intercultural Training & Development at IOR Global Services. Doug’s focus is the developing field of intercultural assessment instruments, and he is licensed to deliver and interpret a variety of such tools.

DOUGLAS STUART, PhD, Director of Intercultural Training & Development, oversees IOR’s ICTD group and the management of IOR’s worldwide trainer network. He is responsible for curriculum development, delivery of programs to corporate audiences, and shaping strategy for design and delivery of T & D services. Doug is a recognized authority in the rapidly developing field of intercultural assessment instruments and is licensed to deliver and interpret a variety of such tools. He authors position papers on intercultural competence development and assessment and makes presentations at conferences and workshops internationally.

Prior to joining IOR, Doug served as an educational specialist in Andersen Worldwide’s Performance Consulting group. His background includes faculty positions in international education at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois and the Economics Institute of the University of Colorado, Boulder and management positions in Algeria and the United Arab Emirates. Doug’s international work experience has also included assignments in Germany, Egypt, and Vietnam. Doug earned his PhD at the Illinois Institute of Technology and pursued post-graduate studies at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. He has a Diploma in Client Centered Therapy and a Master Certification as a Developmental Coach/Consultant with the Interdevelopmental Institute.
