“ Founding Bayou n' Brooklyn Music Festival in 2011 Deborah Monlux paved the way for cultural exchange through music, art, dance and folklore. ”
As a chief innovator of the Annual Bayou n' Brooklyn Festival, Deborah Monlux was first inspired by the music of Cajun fiddler David Greely. She promotes the integration of this special form of American Roots music, Cajun, Creole and Zydeco, to a Brooklyn, NY audience, especially since there is a highly limited number of like-minded promoters in the tri-state area. Louisiana artist Jesse Lége threw his support behind Deborah and now are the de facto ambassador of Louisiana-born music and culture in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
