Michael A. Kaufman is the Managing Partner of KDVG. He concentrates his practice in Errors and Omissions defense for attorneys, accountants, insurance agents and brokers, real estate brokers, Legal Malpractice, Miscellaneous Errors and Omissions, Employment Practices Liability, Media, Cyber Liability, General Casualty and Premises Liability claims. His knowledge of and insights in these areas have brought him national attention.

Mr. Kaufman's clients, other attorneys and the broader corporate community recognize and respect his competency in the courtroom and the training room. He regularly educates his clients and insureds regarding regulatory compliance and litigation prevention practices. He frequently presents seminars and moderates panels at organizations such as ExecuLaw, the New York State Bar Association, the Institute of Management Accountants, the CPA and Financial Professionals Industry Conference, the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), the Professional Lines Attorney Network (PLAN), PLUS and PLAN Annual, National and Regional Conferences.

He is an editorial source for leading media and author of a number of articles including a cover story for National Underwriter entitled, "Drive-By ADA Suits Hit Insurers" as well as “Supreme Court Ruling on Union Agreements Changes EPL Landscape.”

Mr. Kaufman received his Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Lehigh University.

Mr. Kaufman is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He is actively involved in philanthropies including the Children’s Medical Fund of New York where he is Secretary and the PLUS Foundation where he is a fundraiser.
