Jan has always felt that low-power radio stations fill a vital need in the broadcasting field. These stations provide their individual communities with weather updates, local events and much more. They can, as Jan has proven, carry national programs for their listeners enjoyment.

Jan has shown that, with the introduction of internet steaming and telecasting of programs, these stations have become more than the casual hobby and have become a viable business and broadcasting asset.

Though Jan does not agree that these stations should be regulated in the same manner as his full-power counter-parts, he does maintain that they should be allowed to increase their overall output from the current 100mw to 1 watt, and has presented this idea to the FCC.

Being the owner of KKRP has allowed Jan the opportunity to interview Presidential Candidates, celebrities and do investigative reporting, he remains loyal to his listeners in offering them quality programs, immediate information and a sense of family.
