Miesha Tate Ander was born in Selma, AL. Her mom moved her family to Cleveland, OH, when she was 6 years old— and when she was 9, her elementary school introduced her to a pilot foreign language program. It was the first time she became familiar with the concept of foreign language... particularly, French. It was new and exciting— nurturing her curiosity, stimulating her mind, and building her confidence.

She went on to excel in French in middle and high school, studied and lived in France in college, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in the romance language. After graduating, she pursued a career in the creative industry— breaking barriers and celebrating professional and personal-growth wins for the last 18 years as a successful business owner.

Without a doubt, much of her success is because of that single moment of wonderment at 9 years old. Now a wife and mom of a 5 and 2 year-old, she wanted to expose her children to that same experience. When she learned those resources didn’t exist locally, she decided to create it herself— for ALL local children— and so La Petite Prep was born.
