Paul McCain, PE has over 30 years of experience in electronic and electrical engineering. He received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Auburn University in 1978. Paul spent 31 years as a project engineer with the Department of Defense at the Anniston Army Depot, where he developed performance specifications and contract requirements for acquisition of industrial plant equipment used in the overhaul and quality assurance testing of wheeled and tracked Army combat vehicles. During his career, he prepared cost estimates and economic analyses for justification of annual capital improvement project expenditures, coordinated equipment installation, and conducted final acceptance to ensure the equipment and services purchased met all contract scope of work requirements.

Paul also collaborated with other engineering disciplines such as mechanical, hydraulic, materials and environmental to reduce operational costs, improve reliability, and decrease overhaul times. He provided day-to-day engineering leadership and guidance to assist maintenance team members identify, investigate, analyze and troubleshoot machinery issues to meet production deadlines. He is a proven problem solver with an electrical/electronic troubleshooting background

Paul established McCain Engineering LLC in 2008 as an electrical engineering consulting firm providing electrical engineering services in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. His firm also provides independent cause and origin investigations to attorneys, insurance companies, fire investigators, and private parties for loss evaluation and failure analysis of electrical systems, components and products, as well as technical litigation support and expert witness services.

Paul is proficient with SKM Power Tools for Windows, AutoCAD 2011,Design Master Electrical, and has a working knowledge and understanding of many electrical safety codes and standards. He has been a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Alabama since 1990. Paul is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE). He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee.
