Robert E Remitz

CEO

Mr. Remitz is a huge advocate for lower healthcare costs to the end user or retailers for people that want to pay out of pocket for medical equipment at a low price.
Robert E. Remitz(Rob) was born January 3rd, 1970 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

His father, James R. Remitz, is well known for being the innovator of budget brand beers when he worked as the Global VP of Marketing for the number one beer at the time at Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company before it was bought out by Peter Stroh's in the 1970's. He coined the phrase,"It still does not get any better then this." This slogan is still used today by Old Milwaukee. In 1982, Robert Remitz's father purchased the Schlitz Beer Distributorship in 1982 in Austin, Texas where he sold it in 1995.

Robert Remitz learned several important aspects of distribution of products during his many years of working for his fathers beer distributorship which will be used later on in his career.

Mr. Remitz attended Westlake High School in Austin, Texas, other well known alums like Drew Brees, Kelly Gruber and other successful athletes attended. He graduated in 1988 and was offered and accepted a golf scholarship to Murray State University.

Mr. Remitz is known for being the last living full time student by Mr. Harvey Penick, co-author of the Little Red Book.

Mr. Remitz attended Murray State University and graduated in 1995 with a BA in Organizational Communications and golf veteran letter achiever.

Upon graduation, Mr. Remitz took a job with Hiram Walker and Sons which owned distilled spirits brands like Makers Mark, Canadian Club, Kahlua, and many others. He was part of the first On-Premise team ever created by a Manufacturer of Distilled Spirits. The TOP Team was founded in 1995 and lasted up until the sell out of Hiram Walker brands to Allied Domecq and then was sold to several suppliers like Fortune Brands.
He moved to Chicago and worked for Hiram Walker as an On-Premise Manager and eventually moved to Houston, Texas where he worked on brands like Makers Mark and Tuaca. He was roommates with Rob Samuels, who was the Off-Premise Manager for the same company. Rob Samuels is now the President of Makers Mark Distilleries owned by Fortune Brands in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mr. Remitz decided to move into healthcare where he founded an On-Line medical equipment distribution company called GoSouthernMD.com in 2006 in Phoenix, Arizona. He pioneered the concept where there should be a middle man in the healthcare model from Supplier to distributor to consumer similar to what he learned in the alcohol industry.

Similarly, Mr. Remitz is a huge advocate for lower healthcare costs to the end user or retailers for people that want to pay out of pocket for medical equipment at a low price. Since the allowables for insurance are so high, Mr. Remitz is trying to enable people to be able to order the medical equipment they actually need at a very low price and have them submit the receipt to their insurance. This method is said to save tax payers billions of dollars over a period of time and get what the consumer actually needs. More and more insurance companies are looking at doing this for future purchases and reimbursements due to huge cost savings.

Mr. Remitz also started the first On-Line Rental program for consumers looking to rent medical equipment nationwide and it is the source for many other competitors to copy his model and use similar service centers around the country.
