Laura works for East Side Neighborhood Development Company, and does community Out Reach work in the greater eastside area of St. Paul, MN. She invites neighbors to come together for events in the community, and provides services that are needed for low income residents in the St. Paul eastside area. Her career has involved her with organizing business events such as, contacting vendors for participation in different community events. She is also involved and certified in Neighborhood Works Program. Another certification includes Neighborhood Leadership Program. She also worked with Habitat for Humanity that brought former President Carter to rebuild and add new homes, in the greater eastside of the St. Paul. She is a, bi-lingual interpreter, in English and Spanish addressing truancy in the juvenile courts. Her interpreting also includes medical, welfare agencies.
Laura is also now an entrepreneur, by selling websites to small and medium size businesses. She helps them bring traffic. Businesses everywhere that are seeking a way to increase revenue, decrease spending and promote their company. She does it 10 hours a week, and she loves to do this because it helps them build their business. She enjoys meeting people who are in business for themselves.
