Her principal responsibility was to provide administrative and professional assistance to the Director and Library Board in the planning, management and operation of Library services by developing relationships between the Library and other Morton Grove institutions, such as businesses, community groups, Village Government and residents.

Under general supervision of the Director, with only general direction and with significant latitude for independent action and decision-making, and had responsibility and oversight for business processes within Library departments.

In cooperation with Library department heads and Director, as applicable, she supported the development of all programming, patron training programs; all Library outreach programs inside and outside the Library, adult, young adult and youth services programming involving one or more departments. She approved all programming inside or outside the Library. Coordinates scheduling of all programming, training programs; all Library outreach programs inside and outside the Library, adult, young adult and youth services programming involving one or more departments. Also was responsible for Public Relations for the Library itself.

She Developed working knowledge of business processes and how they interact with the public (residents, businesses, organizations & Village government) and applied improvement concepts and recommended changes to meet Library objectives.

Lead the evaluation of new approaches or techniques within own team (staff) or various Library departments and mentors team (staff) on process improvement opportunities.

She was adept at sensing the need for change and initiates improvements within the Library organization. She influenced opportunities to drive continuous process improvement and demonstrates through cost / benefit analysis.

She displayed understanding of the principles of customer service and the importance of meeting customer needs. Developed awareness of the relationship between his/her organizations actions and customers. Prioritized Library operations according to importance of customers' needs and Library objectives.

Understood customer's primary business needs and was aware of how the Library can meet those needs. Supported and reinforced an environment that holds everyone (staff) accountable for meeting customer commitments and delivering on promises. Maintained a strong commitment to assure Library services meet or exceed customer expectations. Pursued understanding of how individual pieces of Library departments fit into the organization as a whole and maintains working relationships with other Library departments.

Communicated project/work status on a timely and consistent basis to Director, Library Board and identifies skill sets/resource requirements and collaborates with staff to ensure timely resource availability. Provided direction to team (staff) on priorities, work schedules and project assignments and tracks project progress to plan, resolves key barriers, escalates issues when required and finally manages relationship and expectations with key stakeholders.

Previously, she was the Community Outreach Coordinator and School Liaison, building new and strong relationships with local schools, promoting life-long learners.

She identified the needs of community groups, businesses and residents and collaborated with other Library teams and departments to develop services and programs in response to those needs. Through developing institution-to-institution relations with the other public entities in Morton Grove it was making it possible for the Library and other institutions to work cooperatively for the benefit of the community.
