DAWN DIAZ is a dynamic, powerful speaker and life coach who merges non-denominational spiritual principles, professional strategies and urban flair; to achieve the fastest, most productive results, for her clients, in business, lobbying, and social consciousness and responsibility. During her career as a Paramedic/Captain in the New York City Fire Department, she held the vital responsibility of bringing order and calm to countless situations of tragedy and chaos; including the attacks of 9/11 in 2001. She left her mark on the Fire Department by training almost 5,000 EMS providers in six months, on the most efficient ways of prioritizing victims in a multiple casualty incident. As a young mother, she raised three exceptional young men; her sons are her biggest supporters. Since 2009, Dawn has received the Circle of Hearts Humanitarian Award; she has been recognized as a Warrior Womyn and a Lady of Grace; and is a recipient of the 2012 Mamas Latinas Award. Using her spiritual grounding and business savvy, Dawn Diaz created Milagros Day Worldwide in honor of her mother Carmen Milagros Lugo, a victim of severe domestic violence, to provide leadership and mentorship for survivors of domestic violence, or those who grew up in an abusive household. As a child affected by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and losing her mom in a tragic car accident at the age of 14; Dawn has traversed a very long, painful and rewarding journey of self-discovery and healing. She has studied with some of the most prominent business and spiritual leaders of our time; including her mentor Karen Hoyos.
