Christine Mitchel founded Mitchel's Chimney & Masonry Specialists INC In 1998. Mitchel is respected throughout her industry as a leader and an expert in her field.

Through her vision and passion, Mitchel built Mitchel's Chimney & Masonry Specialists INC from the ground up, starting with only a budget of $10,000 and a van and now runs a 4 van operation with a retail store with 9 employees.

Although still a modest and small business she is one of a just a hanful of women in her industry who has earned her respect through hard work and strong integrity.

Christine has been interviewed as an expert in her field and has appeared on shows such as Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Digest on Channel 16 and has been featured in the Potomac News for her charity work with her program Heating up the Community.

Heating up the Community is the brain child of Mitchel that she started in 1998 and is a program that helps charities and organizations reach their goals while also assisting those in need get safe and effecient heating appliances. www.heatingupthecommunity.com

Mitchel iscurrently registered as a state lobbyist and is on the Board of Directors of the South East Hearth, Patio and BBQ Association is the Chairman of their government affairs committee.

She has also served as treasurer of the Virginia Chimney & Safety Guild and has written political articles for Sweep Magazine (a trade magazine for the National Chimney Sweep Guild) .
