Kathie is and has been a change agent for more than 20 years in the Mount Vernon Community. She has been a community advocate, School Board trustee, PTA president of three different schools in the Mount Vernon District, spouse and mother of five children who grew up in the Mount Vernon City Schools. Kathy is also a key member of the Mount Vernon Democratic City committee as a champion for those politicians who want to make change rather than climb the political career ladder.

Kathy is quick to speak out on social justice issues and you will find her actively engaging in community issues throughout all of Mount Vernon.
