Alex Chen graduated from California Institute of Technology majored in Applied Physics and Economics. He has been working for McKinsey & Company and Google before and he established Stanford Magnets and a series related industrial business since 1990s.

Stanford Magnets supplies rare earth permanent magnetic materials in powder, a sintered form, as well as polymer-bonded form. Stanford Magnets also supplies other permanent magnet materials including AlNiCo, ceramic (ferrite) and flexible magnet materials. Stanford Magnets specializes in manufacturing permanent magnets according to customers' requirements in terms of composition, magnetic characteristics, shapes, and sizes.
