Since 1999, Thompson has led Oberon, Inc. and developed the company into one of the leading manufacturers of wireless access point and telecommunications enclosures in the United States. Through Thompson’s leadership, the company has enjoyed consistent strong performances with double-digit growth.

Thompson’s degrees include a B.S.E.E. from Penn State University (now an Oberon client) and an M.S.E.E. from Southern Methodist University.

Thompson has designed, specified, and installed IEEE 802.3 and 802.11 standard compliant networking solutions to provide low cost, high availability, high data rate connectivity. Applications include secure Department of Defense installations, mission critical medical facilities, campus wide deployments at universities, small and large business, warehouses, and challenging manufacturing and industrial environments.

Scott Thompson is a Senior Member of the IEEE and served as a member of the TIA TR-42 Healthcare Facility Cabling Task Group.
