Affectionately known as OnyxQueen, Renée has always been able to tackle difficult scenarios with her insightful perspective and tough, but loving advice. This lead her to write and produce media content within the same vein in an effort to help people achieve their calling. Her creative content and self-produced events has earned her recognition among entrepreneurs and the small business community. This lead to Renée becoming an award-winning Founder and CEO of OnyxQueen Media, which is a lifestyle branding firm.

Renée is an esteemed member of The Boss Network, which was voted one of the “10 Best Career Sites For Women” by Forbes.com. They chose Renée, as one of the “50 BOSS Members To Follow On Twitter” in 2011. She was also named one of the Amazing Women of 2013, by Stiletto Woman Media. The CEO of FUBU and The Shark Group, Daymond John, selected Renée to be a Rise and Grind Ambassador in 2017 and once again in 2019, to be a PowerShift Ambassador.

Along with these accolades, Renée has degrees in journalism, media and a certification in event planning. She is the host of The Queen's Lair, a weekly lifestyle podcast which tackles small business, pop culture and everything in between. She has also produced and directed two web TV series, Cuisine Done Right and The Queen's Lair Show. She is the curator of Blackberry Naturals, a natural hair female entrepreneur group and has written for various publications about women in business and speaks on entrepreneurship.
