Founder Ryan Alter has a long history in the fields of computer technology and environmental science. After achieving a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Youngstown State University, Ryan joined the University of Montana biology department and eventually served as UM’s Director of Academic Information Technology. During this time he saw the undeniable need for technology in the classroom. Bridging the gap between education and technology became Ryan’s mission. He soon left the University to start Alter Enterprise. AE is founded on building the classroom of the future.
