After graduating with a Masters in Management in 1990, Vic Levinson began in sales of mid range computer systems. In 1992, Vic worked with one of the largest repair facilities of telecommunications hardware. In 1993, Prime Telecommunications was formed to provide reliable telephone systems for the small and medium business marketplace in Chicago.

As technology has advanced, so has the scope and focus of the operations at Prime Telecommunications. With advances in digital telecommunications technologies, Prime Telecommunications became the go to experts for Nortel equipment as an Authorized Nortel Business Partner. With developments in voice over IP technologies, Prime Telecommunications became an authorized business partner with Allworx and with hosted provider, S-NET Communications.

Since 1996, connectivity services have been a major area of expertise. Beginning with dedicated circuits from the local phone company, Prime's expertise now includes circuits from all of the major carriers. Dedication to value has meant that cost reduction and efficiency are emphasized.
