After graduating with a degree in history from Manchester, Dan found there were no job in History and eventually became a web designer and coder. After a few years of hacking his way through websites, he decided that hacking his way through the Amazon would be much more enjoyable, and subsequently spent a good part of his twenties living and travelling in Peru and South America.

Dan returned to the UK with a tan and some Spanish and was one of the founders of Real World Holidays, the UK specialists for tailor-made travel and holidays to Peru, Brazil and Ecuador, with a little bit of Argentina and Bolivia on the side...
